
Annette O'Toole spent her childhood in the Houston studio which was operated by mother. The first time she appeared on TV was at the age of 2, as a kid appearing on the Don Mahoney Kiddie Trooper show. She was 13 when, and had ten years worth of singing and dancing classes ahead of her, she and her mom went for a trip to L.A. for a year to find out if they could pursue a career in show business. In less than two months, she landed her first position: dancing with Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. The actress says "I am able to use my experience in singing and dance in many different ways." The discipline that you gain from these classes is invaluable for actors." Her first role as an actor was My Three Sons, followed by roles in Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, as well as Hawaii Five-O. Over the decades she has been in over 40 programs Despite her accomplishments in television and films O'Toole's greatest passion is the theatre. After her six-year stint in Smallville O'Toole made the decision to concentrate on theatre and acting, which she'd been doing over the last decade. An audition she took in New York led her to be chosen to play The Sea Gull. She's appeared in many Off-Broadway plays, including Adam Rapp's Kindness and Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
